Today, 120 families live in Yonatan. They earn their living from agriculture, education and free professions. The social life of Yonatan is lively and active. The settlement offers social and cultural activities for adults and for all the family, joint trips, parties and ceremonies, mutual aid, Gemach (free-loan fund) Semachot, baby Gemach and a charity association. The settlement is defined as "Green" and has a community garden and concern for recycling.
Klita: Self-build plots with a permit for building a guest unit attached to the house. Size of plot: 750 square meters.
Education: "Children are our joy" is the motto accompanying the settlement ever since its establishment. The settlement had a daycare center, two kindergartens including an afternoon childcare facility until 16:00. School children learn in the "Golan" elementary school in Hispin, in the "Ma'ayanot" and "Shrashim" schools in Natur and in the "Ve'Ahavt" school for girls in Keshet, all a 15 minute drive from Yonatan. High school boys learn the yeshiva high school in Hispin, while the girls learn in Ulpanit Tiberius or Ulpanit Katzrin. Transportation to these educational institutions is organized by the Golan Regional Council.
There is a branch of Bnei Akiva for school children and activities for youth are organized by our adult counselors. For infants and their parents, there is a play room that opens twice a week.
Quality of life: living in a rural settlement surrounded by nature, the spiritual content of a variegated religious community based on the values of mutual respect and tolerance make life in Yonatan the life you have dreamt of. The settlement has a synagogue, Mikveh for women, a variety of religious lessons, an assembly hall, library, grocery store, playgrounds, medical clinic and dental clinic.
