Our goal is to live according to the Torah in all fields of our lives. The rabbi of the settlement is a figure that outlines the way we live our lives and who provides the answer for any halachic, religious and community question. The settlement is multi-aged: there is a large group of older families, from among the families which had established the settlement, and a significant group of young families. Life in Keshet is simple and modest. The people are hard-working. The community is relatively homogeneous and is characterized by life according to the Torah, Zionism and social involvement.
Klita: Keshet is opening its doors to new families joining the community expansion. The expansion offers self-build plots. Size of plot: approximately 750 square meters. There is an option of building guest units.
Education: The settlement had a daycare center, two kindergartens and a Talmud Torah – a separate school for boys (first to sixth grades) and girls (first to eighth grades). High school boys learn in Hispin and other yeshivas all around the country. The girls learn in Katzrin or any other high school for girls.
Our informal education system includes a Talmud Torah for children in the afternoons, Bnei Akiva for boys and for girls (separate) and a variety of activities for our youth during school vacations, including work in the settlement, organized by our adult counselors (one for boys and one for girls).
There are cultural and social events for adults and a large variety of Torah lessons for men and women during the week.
Quality of life: In Keshet there is a committee responsible for mutual aid in times of sorrow and joy. There is also a committee responsible for helping families in organizing happy events. The settlement strives to absorb families that will join our volunteers in organizing social and community activities.
