The community of Gshur is a lively, active community where there is full cooperation between the older members and the new ones. The individual's ability to influence the community life is large.
Klita: Self-build plots. Size of plot: 750 square meters. Families can join as full members of the Kibbutz or as residents of the community expansion.
Education: the Kibbutz has a daycare center and kindergartens that are open until the afternoon and during vacations. The kindergartens are based on the values of the Kibbutz with walks around the Kibbutz, open spaces for play and creativity and experienced kindergarten teachers.
First to eighth grader learn in the regional school of "Mitzpeh Golan" in Bnei Yehuda. High school student slearn in "Beit Yerach" in the Jordan valley, "Nofei Golan" in Katzrin or "Branco Weiss" in Ramot. Transportation is organized by the Golan Regional Council.
Our informal education includes afternoon activities, activities on Fridays, Jewish holidays and more. Our youth enjoy evening activities with an adult counselor on behalf of the Kibbutz and additional activities throughout the year. The older members of the "Bnei Ha'Moshavim" youth movement organize activities for the younger members such as trips and parties. The framework of our informal education develops the affinity between the children and the community by them taking part in all cultural events of the community. The community center of Bnei Yehuda (a five minute drive) offers various activities for children and adults.
Quality of life: In Gshur you can find peace and quiet beside life of cooperation and friendship. There are playgrounds and sports facilities in Gshur as well as a grocery store, synagogue, swimming pool, medical clinic, mail services and various small businesses. The vision of the Gshur community is to plan, establish and conduct a rural community settlement which is based on a community that encourages cooperation and mutual aid between its members.
