Mevoh Chama

More about the settlement

Kibbutz Mevoh Chama is the most southern settlement of the Golan Heights. It is located in a cliff overlooking the most beautiful view – Mount Hermon in the north, the Naftali mountains, Safed and the Galilee, Tiberius and Mount Tavor, the Jordan Valley and the Kinneret in all its glory.

Klita: The plots of the first stage of our community expansion have been fully marketed. Now we have Klita as members of the Kibbutz. Within this framework, a new neighborhood will be built in the Kibbutz with plots of half a dunam. There will be an option to choose from three models of houses.

Education:  the Kibbutz has a joint education for all children from birth to twelfth grade, which operates all year round, including vacation and Jewish holidays. Pre-school children have educational institutions that are open from 7:00-16:00, during vacations as well.
Most of our first to eighth graders learn in the regional elementary school of Bnei Yehuda (a 15 minute drive) the rest learn in two additional elementary schools in the area - the democratic school of Eli'ad and the "Shorashim" school in Natur. The Golan Regional Council is responsible for the transportation to the schools. The children return from school straight to the Kibbutz "Children's Home", where they enjoy a warm meal and social activities until 17:00. The 'Children's Home' is open on Fridays and school vacations too.
High school children learn in 'Beit Yerach' in the Jordan Valley.
Our high school children have social activities, including trips, during the year and school vacations. Mevoh Chama sees working with our youth a most significant and important value, which is applied as part of the demands of our education system.
Quality of life: the Kibbutz has a variety of community services: a swimming pool, medical clinic, cultural hall, library, grocery store, pub, dental clinic, night watchman, bakery/pizzeria, hairdresser, pastry shop, fish & chips, massage service, acupuncture and more.
The Kibbutz takes care of having active cultural life, by its cultural committee. Most of the activities are related to the Jewish holidays, which are celebrated by the entire community. In addition, once in a while, there are nostalgic dinners in our dining room, lectures for adults, a play room and movies for children, a pedestrian mall and more.
The members of the Kibbutz can also enjoy the activities, lectures and performances offered by the community center of Bnei Yehuda.
